Biography

Concepción Galarraga was born in "Basurka"  farm in Alegría de Oria on the 6th of December of 1933. Daughter of  Ignacio Galarraga and Juana Lasa, is the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters.

Born on an idilic landscape on the Oria Valley, she started early her interest on the landscape and floral art.

As she was 19 years old, travels to Paris with her sister Carmen and gets "coiffure" lessons working and studying part time. During this period she appreciates the Parisian modern art.

After the Parisian period she starts thrilling entrepreneurial career working as an "Esteticienne" in Saint Sebastian shop "Benegas". After that together with her sister Carmen they open a modern beauty saloon in Tolosa. After that she opens a fashion shop for kids called "Loretxo" in San Sebastian.

Married with Jose Miguel Lopetegi and being mother of 4 boys she starts with her "Atelier" in 1983. where she start to paint floral, landscape and Abstract art.
